Purpose of Procurement Review Committee

Procurement review committee (PRC) an administrative action which established the terms and actions of the procurement policy.

This committee basically leads to those actions which comes after the end of contract awarding or in between the contract like amendment.

Different staff members are being nominated for the PRC committee from different departments which are directly or partially involved in the legal procurement process. Presence of all the concern members of the staff is important for the organization,procurement process and the committee it self.

Mostly the committee has been called by the head of organization like chair person, and meetings are mostly called twice a month or once a week. It does not include presentation it is basically a general audit of procurement process by the head of organization and its members.

Amendments , renewals, or any modification are taken by this committee after consultation with departments,this is an non-executive committee and such as has no delegated authority. Duty of the committee is to approve business cases for the procurement of goods and services.
